...The Airial upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor comes with a comprehensive user's guide and vinyl carry / storage case. I found the device very easy to apply and operate. The 4 AA batteries are easy to install and assembly consists of inserting one tube into the base of the device - nothing to it. LCD window shows three distinct readouts: systolic, diastolic and pulse. There's also battery power level and memory displays. The memory function is quite useful for comparison of previous pressures. Uncomplicated to use there's only two buttons: one for on / off (start), one for memory. Both are large and easily accessed.
What size cuff to order ? The BP2400 comes with a standard size cuff that will fit only an arm circumference from 9.4 inches to 14.2 inches. The larger size cuff will fit only an arm circumference from 11.2 inches up to 18.4 inches. So measure around your bicep at the widest part and allow for additional slack of one finger inserted between the tape measure and your arm to allow for a proper fit. Then select the cuff you require from the drop down menu at the shopping cart. (Please know that all orders for the large size cuff will include the standard cuff as well.)
Real Fuzzy Technology means that once the cuff is applied to the arm the device detects your blood pressure before the cuff inflates. The device establishes a baseline pressure equivalent to the air pressure and will determine appropriate inflation based on the user's pressure oscillations, followed by cuff deflation. During deflation the device will detect amplitude and slope of pressure oscillations and thereby determine the systolic, diastolic, and pulse for you. In other words, it's automatic.
This blood pressure Monitor complies with the European regulations and bears the CE mark "CE 0366". The quality of the device has been verified and conforms to the provisions of the EC council directive ... concerning medical devices... .
