... deer. Essentially this is an automatic sentry that is placed in a stationary position near gardens, plants or trees under threat of damage by foraging deer. Before deer can get close enough to munch Deer Chaser is triggered, sounds a radio and emits a bright LED light. Deer are immediately startled and made uneasy - they leave.

How do I know? I've seen new apple trees, shrubs, hosta, tulips, you name it, chewed to the nub and hundreds of dollars wasted, as grazing, hungry deer foraged gardens. Then, we installed 4 Deer Chasers in strategic areas. No more deer. They simply move on to other, less threatening areas.

How to use it: Deer Chaser operates on 3 , D size batteries, has an adjustable mounting bracket and is very easily affixed to any post, wall, fence, etc. with included wood screws in just a few minutes. Placed within 25 feet of areas to be protected Deer Chaser remains silent and when movement is sensed the sound of a human voice, FM radio, and bright LED light, will activate. The device has 4 user adjustment to customize the device to your property and liking:

What all this means is that you set the FM radio to any station you like; volume you prefer; duration, or, length of time you wish the radio to remain on; how easily the device will trigger; be either on , or off. The control panel is protected behind a sealed panel that is opened, without tools, by a convenient and easy to use thumb screw/knob. Deer Chaser is designed for easy removal from the affixed mounting bracket for removal in winter, or to access the control panel for re-adjustment and battery changes. The device can also be rotated up and down on the mounting bracket should you prefer to mount it higher up, or lower on a small ground stake. Just point the device upward if mounted low, or pointed downward if mounted higher up. Point is, Deer Chaser is very, very versatile.

Practicality: Deer Chaser will function from weeks to months on 3 batteries, depending on number of activations and settings you choose. One season, Spring to Fall will likely only require a couple of battery changes. The device is very easy to remove and replace when you don't want it to trigger, ie. when working in your yard. Then again, it's nice to have the radio on when your in the yard working because, of course, it will activate by your motion. That said, the device can either be turned off, or simply slipped out of the affixed mounting bracket and placed face down if you'd rather not have the radio on at certain times. Another nice feature is security: Should an intruder enter your property and move in front of the device the radio will trigger and the bright LED light will illuminate the space making the intruder's presence known.

Physical: Deer Chaser is 9 inches high x 4 inches across and 2.25 inches deep. The mounting bracket is 6 inches high, 4 inches wide and will protrude Deer Chaser 2 inches out from where it is affixed. Deer chaser weighs 1 lbs. Colour is light green so it'll mingle well with any garden. Made from durable ABS plastic. Loudspeaker is weatherproof and the 2 super-bright, sealed LED bulbs are synchronized with the speaker.

Pricing: Why is the Canadian dollar price higher than the US dollar price ? Product is purchased in US$ and: USA orders ship domestically so are subject to nominal additional costs to reach a US address - the product does not have to leave the country. Canadian orders, however, are shipped to Canada in bulk from the US supplier to a fulfillment service in Mississauga, ON, so are subject to customs broker fees, duty, and additional shipping and processing fees that do not apply to USA orders.

Refers to refunds, or replacement of defective product within 90 days from the date of purchase. Accordingly, if you are not fully satisfied with Deer Chaser P7840 advise me( a RA# may be required prior to returning the product) ,and request return instructions, then : return the product shipping pre-paid, in original condition and packaging for refund of the purchase price less shipping and any applicable drop-ship or customs handling fees.

Warranty: Covers replacement only, of defective product beyond the 90 day satisfaction Guarantee. Refunds will not be provided beyond 90 days. Customer must contact TESCO Ent prior to return. Product returned for replacement beyond 90 days and within 6 months from date of purchase, must be sent shipping pre-paid and include a copy of the sales receipt to verify the 6 month warranty. Customer is responsible to pay shipping of replacement plus any applicable handling fee.
