How to use: Remove the heavy duty plastic top and insert 4 D batteries, then place the pointed end of Mole Chaser directly into the earth. I's a good idea to start, or dig, the hole first, depending on the soil type. Leave Mole Chaser permanently in place inserted fully underground or protruding above ground 3-4 inches. The device begins working in 15 minutes and is left on 24/7 continuously. To change batteries, simply unscrew the large, well gripped screw cap and remove the sliding, one-piece battery compartment and pop in 4 new D size batteries. Comes with detailed instructions. Mole Chaser is very robust and may be left in ground 365 days of the year. Colder days and freezing temperatures will not harm it, Mole Chaser will continue to disrupt burrowing during active times and discourage occupation during winter hibernation. What does it do? On a single set of batteries for 4-6 months Mole Chaser cycles every 18 seconds for 8 seconds to penetrate the earth surrounding the device with vexing sonic vibrations that drive burrowing rodents away. Dense underground obstructions such as large boulders or concrete foundations will hinder the sonic pulses and rodents may seek shelter behind it or stop at that point.
