Octenol Mosquito Attractant

(1-octen-3-ol)* is a naturally occurring by-product that comes from plants and some animals, such as oxen and cows, that ingest large amounts of vegetable matter. Studies have shown that Octenol Mosquito Attractant is highly attractive to many species of mosquitoes, no-see-ums, and biting midges.
The Octenol Mosquito Attractant can be used with Koolatron Mosquito Traps and electronic fly killers, as well as other products designed to attract and eliminate mosquito’s, and needs to be replaced every 21 days. Please note: The cartridge which contains the Mosquito Attractant will not dissolve, but the Octenol Mosquito Attractant will evaporate and no longer be effective after 21 days. Be sure to replace attractant according to instructions. Package of 2 should last up to 42 days. Octenol consists of a wax blend (to hold the consistency in the cartridge) with 1-Octen-3-ol (alcohol based fragrance).

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with it's labeling. To install or Replace the Octenol Lure : Using the Plastic twist tie from the Trap Body cord, thread one end through the hole on the top of the cartridge and tightly tie to the power cord at 3 inches from the top of the cord. Replace Octenol Mosquito Attractant lure every 21-30 days depending on ambient temperature.
Instructions for Octenol Mosquito Attractant:
1. Open Foil Pack of Octenol Mosquito Attractant by using Scissors. See Illustration A.
2. Remove Octenol Mosquito Attractant Cartridge from Foil Pack.
3. Connect twist tie or “S” Hook to Octenol Mosquito Attractant Cartridge. See Illustration B.
4. Connect Other Side of twist tie or “S” Hook to Mosquito Trap. See Illustration C.
5. Wash Hands Thoroughly after installing Octenol Mosquito Attractant.

Storage and Disposal:
Store Octenol Mosquito Attractant product in a cool dry place and out of the reach of children until ready to use. Dispose of the used Octenol Mosquito Attractant lure by wrapping it in several layers of newspaper and dispose in the trash.

AID for Octenol Mosquito Attractant

on Skin or Clothing |
Take
off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for
15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.

in eyes |
Hold
eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove
contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing
eyes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. |

Inhaled |
Move
person to fresh air. If person is not breathing call 911 or an ambulance,
then give artificial respiration by mouth-to-mouth, if possible call a poison
control center or doctor for treatment advice. |

Swallowed |
Call
a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. Have person sip a
glass of water if able to swallow. DO NOT induce vomiting unless told to
do so by the poison control center or doctor. DO NOT give anything by mouth
to an unconscious person. |
