...simply cut off a section of pineapple about an inch (2.5 cm) below the leaves to create a flat working surface, select the appropriate size cutter and attach the handle. Turn the handle for about 20 seconds. That's it, apply a minimum of downward pressure and the cutter does the rest making its way through the pineapple. Pull up and you have all the pineapple cut in a tidy spiral of rings. Effortlessly the core and peel have been remarkably separated from the fruit.

It's interesting to know, pineapples are supplied in varying sizes, small, medium and large , to accommodate this the handle comes with 3 different sized cutters. This also allows for creating a thicker wall of pineapple by simply using a smaller cutter; great if using the pineapple shell for a dessert or drink server.If you're shopping around be sure on this. Most often you'll find there is only one cutter sold with the handle.

Once the rings are removed, the core is left standing firmly in the center of the empty shell, and may be left or cut free, either way you now have an ideal, decorative dessert or tropical drink cup. If the pineapple is large or medium in size use a smaller cutter if you prefer a thicker wall of pineapple to remain. This provides an added touch if retaining the shell for a drink or dessert server.

What's more, no pineapple is wasted. Not only do you have perfect pineapple rings and a drink or desert cup, but the layer of pineapple meat not removed by the slicer is easily scraped from the peel, producing "crushed" pineapple.
