... The game starts with a card for letter "A", on back of the card is a clue(s) for the next letter, "b", i.e. "banana". Previously, all cards, b through z, are hidden at phonetically corresponding locations by parent or supervisor. Clues on the cards are common objects found in a domestic or educational environment (cards have 2 clues on back for extended game play and variety). Once located each card leads to the next until the alphabet is completed.
Each time a clue is guessed and the card found the child writes the discovered letter on a small white board. This is important because kids are naturally stimulated to learn to write and read as part of play - it's fun !
At the end of the game, kids go the the Rainbow Pot of Gold and color pictures in the Rainbow coloring book (2 included and extra can be purchased) that correspond to letters of the alphabet. (Parents can spice up the Pot with any reward item of choice.). Game play need not extend to letter z and may be ended at any letter of the alphabet as select by parent or guardian. Advanced players can write out entire clue word.
