National Home Gardening Club Seal of Approval The Scarecrow has been independently tested by 30 members of the National Home Gardening Club. Two-thirds of the member testors must recommend the product before the seal is granted. Testing was performed in the summer of 1998.

The Scarecrow received this award from Do-It-Yourself Retailing Magazine at the 1996 National Hardware Show held in Chicago.
